A visual arts researcher, creative writer and artist based in Tkaronto (Toronto). Co-founder and Executive Director of the Similkameen Artist Residency (SAR), located on the traditional territories of the sylix Okanagan Nation. An advocate for regional and national cultural initiatives across Canada. Current board directorships (2020 – ) at PEN Canada and the National Gallery of Canada Foundation, and past board involvement at Toronto Photographer’s Workshop (TPW). Education: Bishop’s University (BFA), York University (MA). Awarded international internships at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy and the Neues Museum Weserburg in Bremen Germany. Has worked in education and exhibition research at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, and the Art Gallery of Ontario. Research and writing focus on the intersection of language / image, ecology and embodiment, and interdisciplinary art practices.
